Unlock the potential of IoT using Blockchain!
By 2020 IoT (Internet of Things) will consist of about 30 billion objects connected together and exchanging data in a trustless environment. Blockchain distributed trust systems hold the key to unlock the potential of the future IoT.
If like us, you believe blockchain technology is more than cryptocurrencies, and its real potential will only be unleashed when combined with real world data… this is your place!
The IOT-Blockchain Camp is a 5-day intensive training focused on connecting real world data (IOT), with distributed ledger technologies (blockchain)
The IOT-Blockchain camp will give you access to:
- 2 days of all inclusive intensive IOT-Blockchain training
- 3 days of hands-on real experience hackathon
- Technology sessions hold by industry leading professionals
- Afternoon open events to meet the IOT-Blockchain ecosystem
- The opportunity to showcase your project at the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia
The IOT-Blockchain camp has been designed for participants with 3 different backgrounds: Electronics & Robotics, IT Development and Business & Marketing. Two tracks are available depending on the level of previous experience.
How can register?
Registration will be open soon using EvenBrite
Should I need to know Spanish?
No. All the activities (except for the “open events”) will be in English.
Who can participate?
The IOT-Blockchain Camp is open to participants with Electronics & Robotics, IT Development and Business & Marketing background. Different profiles will be taken into consideration under special circumstances (please contact with miguel.frasquet@iotcamp.io if that’s your case)
What is a Hackathon? Will I be ready to compete after the seminars?
Technically, a hackathon is an event in which multidisciplinary teams build prototype software in very short time. Your goal is to create a prototype that solves a specific challenge proposed by an industry sponsor.
The seminars are intensive crash-courses on IOT and Blockchain. You will understand how the technology works under the hood and you will solve the same hands-on exercises you will need to solve during the hackathon. If you still need help, you can count on the group of volunteers who will assist you during the hackathon.
Do I need to know how to code?
Only participants with IT background should know how to code. In any case, some knowledge of Python and JS is recommended
Should I bring anything?
Every participant should bring their own laptop. For IT Developers: We strongly recommend using Linux or Mac. Depending on the number of IT participants using Windows we might use virtual machine software (i.e Docker) For Electronics & Robotics: We will provide some hardware but you are more than welcome to bring all your hardware to both the technical seminars, and the hackathon. We will keep posting info at the telegram group.
Do I need to do anything before the camp?
Not really, just try to be updated joining the telegram group https://t.me/IoTcamp
How can apply?
Participants following track 2 need an invitation to join the camp. Only applicants with proven experience will be invited.
Should I need to know Spanish?

What is a Hackathon?
If you are considering track 2 this is probably not your first hackathon right? But in any case… technically, a hackathon is an event in which multidisciplinary teams build prototype software in very short time. Do I need to attend the seminars?
No. Participants following track 2 are directly invited to the hackathon competition. If you are still interested in attending the seminars, please contact us, places are limited.
Should I bring anything?
We will provide some hardware, sensors, etc, but bring all the hardware you consider interesting. We will keep posting info regarding this topic at the telegram group.
